Posting DetailsPosting SummaryPosition Title: Student adjunct - Advancement Services Posting Number: STU298 VP Area: VP Advancement Division: University Advancement Division Department: University Advancement Dept Job location: Student manager: Angela Collins Work Study Required?: No Job tasks: Responsibilities include but not are not limited to: » Performing data entry into the alumni database. » Verifying data into the alumni database. » Assembling mailings. » Assisting in researching alumni records. » Filing, answering telephones, making copies, scanning, paper, shredding and running errands on campus. » Other tasks as assigned. » The Student adjunct must sign and and adhere to the University confidentiality policy and maintain strict confidentiality of Alumni records. » The Student adjunct will be assigned from time to time to to fill in for other University Advancement departments and must maintain a good working relationship with the staff and other student adjuncts. Minimum Appropriate qualifications: » Full-time student at Lamar University. » Minimum overall GPA of 2.5. » Work a minimum of 12 hours per week. » Must be a U.S. Citizen. » Excellent word processing and typing expertise. » Proficient in English. » Close attention to detail, multitask, proofread and possess the capability to follow instructions. » Operate standard office equipment such as a computer, copier, fax and shredder. » Basic computer expertise required. » Demonstrate a strong work ethic. » Take initiative and work with little supervision. » Demonstrate accuracy and thoroughness. Physical Requirements: Certifications Required: N/A Work Hours: Minimum: 12 hours; Maximum: 19.5 hours/Weekly Job Conditions: » Arrive for scheduled work hours promptly. Absence for three (3) scheduled work slots without contacting the manager prior to the beginning of the scheduled work hours will result in termination of employment. » Dress code - Casual. No athletic shorts, spandex bottoms, cutoff shirts/shorts, workout tops, or clothing with crude words or symbols are allowed. » Students must adhere to the confidentiality agreement to keep Alumni and Donor information secure.
