Minimum Position Appropriate qualifications: Requires a Bachelor's degree in a significant field with graphic arts, video or photography production emphasis and a minimum of 5 years of proven, professional practice in a similar function.

Special Conditions: First consideration will be given to current University of Memphis employees.
The department is especially interested in candidates who have practice working collaboratively in an academic setting with marketing and communications responsibilities.

Work Schedule: Monday - Friday
8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.

May need to work/travel beyond normal work schedule

Working Conditions: While performing the tasks of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to handle, or feel; and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to walk. The employee is occasionally required to stand; reach with hands and arms; and stoop, kneel, or crouch. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision.

Additional Working Conditions: Employee must be able to lift and move up to 30 pounds.

   » Proficient knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, similar graphic design programs and Microsoft Office suite.
   » Proficiency in photo/video techniques, lighting, composition and retouching.
   » Possess knowledge of current industry practices in producing multimedia content with the aid of AI tools including video production, user practice design, social media trends and other digital communications approaches.
   » capability to translate communications strategies into engaging, authentic and effective creative work.

tasks & Job responsibilities: Builds, leads and develops a creative team of professionals (graphic designers, copywriters, photographers and videographers) by presenting creative vision and a compelling narrative to inspire and guide staff and leadership abilities across the university.
Hire and supervise contracted vendors, as appropriate. supervises and approves specifications for bids and cost estimates.
Manages outside vendor relationships including consultants, freelancers, printers and other providers of marketing communication services.

tasks & Job responsibilities: Produces graphic design solutions for a variety of communication and marketing projects. Develops ideas for illustrating materials and publications including the selection, integration and manipulation of photos as well as the artist's illustrations.
Serves as a lead designer on high-profile initiatives, and actively assists on any project as needed to ensure prosperous results and productivity. Create video, animation and other graphic tools for producing effective marketing and development campaigns.

tasks & Job responsibilities: supervises project planning, scheduling and implementation. Reviews design drafts and ensures alignment with university brand standards. Works within budget parameters to create and maintain an excellent standard for all branded creative projects. Collaborates with university's digital team to ensure a consistent practice in social media, on the university's website and all university channels.

tasks & Job responsibilities: Works with the Director of Marketing to discuss brand strategy and ensure consistency as Information technology relates to the universities mission, vision and branding. Advises on brand compliance for all projects in a deadline driven environment. Develops policies and procedures as Information technology relates to brands standards and identity.

tasks & Job responsibilities: Remain consistently aware of updated trends and leading-edge techniques in design, especially in the content field of higher education, and identify opportunities to improve processes for efficiency.
