Minimum practice/Education
   » Bachelor's Degree in data/research field or at least 2 years work practice in statistical methods, qualitative methods, and research design.
   » Academic coursework or equivalent work practice in statistical methods/quantitative data analysis, qualitative methods, and research design.
Departmental Preferred practice, expertise, Training/suitable education
   » Master's Degree in data/research field or at least 2 years work practice in statistical methods/quantitative data analysis, qualitative methods, and research design.
   » practice using a variety of quantitative and qualitative approaches to assessment including surveys, focus groups, interviews, observational studies, uscapability studies, or evaluation.
   » Working expertise of data visualization and statistical software such as Tableau, Excel, Google Sheets, SPSS, SAS, etc.
   » Demonstrated capability to execute data analyses and to present complicated information in easy to understand formats, e.g. data visualization, charts, tables, etc.
   » practice collecting and reporting statistics in a complex organization.
   » Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication expertise.
tasks and Responsibilities The Library Assessment Analyst will support the library's Assessment Department and Administration Unit in the integration of assessment and evidence-located decision-making across the library.

Responsibilities include:
   » Collaborating on assessment projects across the library in support of data-driven decision making, including data collection, cleaning, analysis, summarization, and dissemination of findings
   » Performing basic statistical analyses for projects and reports.
   » Interpreting data and developing recommendations located on findings.
   » Developing data visualizations, reports, infographics, and presentations of project results in visually appealing and easy to understand formats.
   » Responding to special requests to extract data from various data systems or data warehouses to meet time sensitive needs and produce statistical data reports and electronic data displays.
   » Designing and presenting findings and reports in visually appealing and easy to understand formats (graphs, reports, dashboards, infographics, and presentations).
   » Generating routine and ad hoc reports and data files.
   » Assisting the User practice Librarian in collecting and analyzing qualitative data as needed.
   » Performing special research projects as requested.
   » Creating surveys and reports as required by library administration.
   » Displaying excellent customer service and interpersonal expertise when working with patrons and colleagues.
   » Staying abreast of assessment standards and practices regarding academic services.
   » Staying abreast of best practices and institutional practices regarding use of student data.
   » Performing special focus research projects as requested.
