Natural LandsNatural Lands, a vibrant, regional, nonprofit organization and leader in land conservation, natural resourcestewardship, and public engagement, seeks a Social Media Specialist to join our team at our headquarters onthe Hildacy Preserve in Media, Pennsylvania.Since the early 1950s, Natural Lands has saved open space, cared for nature, and connected people to theoutdoors in eastern Pennsylvania and southern New Jersey. Today, the organization is one of the nation'slargest regional land conservancies and is widely respected for its record of success, technicalskills, respectful and creative approach to partnerships, fiscal strength, and integrity. Over the course of its nearly 70-year history, Natural Lands has helped preserve more than 135,000 acresincluding a network of 42 nature preserves and one public garden across two states and 13counties. Job Summary The Social Media Specialist will work under the guidance of the Senior Director of Communications to develop and execute a social media strategy that boosts Natural Lands' brand identity and supports content visibility. Use our multiple social media platforms, and third-party platforms to build significant connections with Natural Lands friends and followers. Requirements » Works closely with colleagues to develop a strategy for integrated media campaigns. » Coordinates with teams across the organization to understand the impact of their work and their digital promotion needs. » Creates digital content-written, photography, and video. » Schedules placement of content on social media platforms, coordinates with colleagues and volunteers who assist with content creation. » Ensures the organization is visually portrayed to a high standard on platforms such as Facebook, YouTube, Instagram, LinkedIn, and TikTok. » Ensures brand consistency across all social media channels and uses performance analytics to drive strategy decisions. » Moderates social media comments when necessary and monitors Natural Lands' presence on third-party platforms such as Yelp, Google reviews, Wikipedia, GuideStar, and Charity Navigator. » Follows the latest digital media developments and trends of marketing campaigns for digital platforms. » Monitors impact and return on investment of social media marketing and advertising campaigns. » Remains up to date with the latest digital media trends and design technology available. » Performs other tasks as assigned. » Contributes as a valued member of the Communications and Engagement team; coordinates efforts with other staff. » Organized, self-driven, creative, and innovative. » A passion for the environment and for Natural Lands' mission. Physical Requirements/Working Conditions This is an office-located position, requiring frequent sitting for long periods, with occasional periods of walking, standing, bending, and reaching. The position requires use of the computer and the telephone and sometimes handling large binders or file boxes. This position requires the capability to reach, pull, lift, and carry 20-35 pounds, walk, and stand on uneven terrain. A reliable vehicle and valid driver's license are required for travel to sites all over eastern Pennsylvania and southern New Jersey.
