This position is designated as a mandatory position in the event of adverse weather conditions or other emergency operations. Primary Purpose of Position The adjunct Director for Athletics Technical Support directs, operates, and maintains the audio visual systems located in the Barnhardt Student Activity Center and other Athletic Facilities. Minimum Education/practice Required Minimum Appropriate qualifications: Bachelor's degree and one year of practice related to the area of assignment; or equivalent combination of training and practice. All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions. University Preferred Appropriate qualifications: Graduation from a four year college or university and at least three years of program associate practice; or an equivalent combination of training and practice. Essential Job tasks The adjunct Director for Athletics Technical Supportdirects, operates, and maintains the audio visual systems located in the Barnhardt Student Activity Center and other Athletic Facilities. Including: » Assists in the supervision of programming, operation, and maintenance of the technical systems located in the Student Activity Center/Halton Arena and other athletic facilities. This includes but is not limited to the following: LED Video Systems, Scoreboards, Content Management Systems, Sound Systems, Lighting Systems, Projectors, and Meeting Space Technologies. » Perform troubleshooting and repairs to the software and hardware level on audio-visual systems and connected output devices. » Coordinate specialty technology needs for Halton Arena. » Advertise, recruit, hire, train, and evaluate a student staff to set up and operate all audio visual, sound, and lighting equipment. » Serve as technical liaison for all major events in Halton Arena. Other Work Responsibilities Other tasks as assigned by the Director and adjunct Athletic Director for Broadcast Video and Technology. Departmental Preferred practice, expertise, Training/Education Graduation from a four year college or university and three years practice in sports or event facility technical services with a preference for arena and/or stadium operations.
