Position Summary This recruitment will be used to fill one part-time (a maximum of 20 hours per week) Research Project adjunct position for the Hallie E. Ford Center for Healthy Children & Families in the College of Health at Oregon State University (OSU).

This position will work under the guidance of Dr. Megan McClelland who is the Director for the Hallie Ford Center will help with projects across the center and building management.

This position will be responsible for assisting project staff with tasks related to research projects and programs. These projects are funded through grants with the Oregon Department of Education (ODE) and the U.S. Department of Education.

Position tasks 50% Project support and Coordination: Assist HFC director and project team staff with various aspects of continuing projects. Coordinate educational program. Assist with events in the center, e.g., prep, set up teardown, cleanup, etc. Assist with mailing and printing and event planning; assist in the everyday maintenance of the center (e.g. room set up, clean up, etc.) .

40% Communication: Interact with HFC leadership abilities and project staff and assist with management of the HFC. Promote and market the HFC and the various center programs using mixed-media in conjunction with a faculty member. Develops and maintains educational content for displays and exhibits. Maintain the ELSI, and HFC social media accounts and assist with creating posts for other HFC related accounts.

10% Other tasks as assigned

   » Must be academically enrolled in a high school, community college, or university and pursuing a program or course of study
   » Must meet Academic Standing Requirements; students on academic suspension are not eligible for employment
   » Must meet the applicable minimal enrollment standard
   » High School student: Regularly enrolled in a high school or participating in a home-schooling program
   » Undergraduate and post-baccalaureate student: 6 credit hours per term
   » Undergraduate international student: 12 credit hours per term*
   » Graduate student officially admitted to Graduate School: 5 credit hours per term
   » Graduate international student officially admitted to Graduate School: 9 credit hours per term*

*International students may be allowed to carry fewer hours than specified above and still be considered ?full-time? by the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS). A reduced course load is approved by the Office of International Services (OIS), and must be provided to the Student Employment Center.
