Information technology is the third largest university in North Carolina. ECU offers 87 bachelor's degree programs, 69 master's degree programs, 13 research doctoral degrees, 5 professional doctoral degrees, the Brody School of Medicine and School of Dental Medicine. The School of Music, in the College of Fine Arts and Communication, has an enrollment of over 250 music majors and minors with over 50 faculty and staff. The school is fully accredited by the National Association of Schools of Music. Job tasks The School of Music seeks qualified candidates for a renewable one-year fixed-term Teaching Instructor or Teaching adjunct Professor to teach applied CLARINET. Other tasks may include teaching chamber music or other courses according to skills. Appropriate research/creative activities and service to the university, community and profession are encouraged. Minimum Education/practice Master's degree in music performance with a concentration in Clarinet. Qualifying degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions. Evidence of success as a performing artist and applied teacher at the collegiate level required. A demonstrated and continuing commitment to teaching and performing. License or Certification Required by Statute or Regulation None Preferred practice, Skills, Training/Education DMA or PhD in music performance or pedagogy.
