Position Summary This recruitment will be used to fill MU Lanes & Games Marketing & Outreach adjunct handles all Social Media (Instagram) & Website aspects of MU Lanes & Games and works with the staff to maintain a safe and fun place to recreate, take a PAC class, or just hang out. They are responsible for all promotions and advertisements, and personally spearhead activities and sponsored events onsite. This recruitment will be used to fill one part-time (a maximum of 24 hours per week) Student Support position for the Memorial Union at Oregon State University.

The Memorial Union (MU) is the campus student union and a department of the division of Student Affairs. The MU is geographically located in the middle of the campus and is considered the ?living room of campus?. The MU welcomes students, faculty, staff, visitors and the local community to campus, and its mission is to provide learning practices and opportunities for personal growth in an open, inclusive and resource-rich community where student and staff collaborate with a Student Advisory Board, who are influential to the character and scope of the department and provide the budget recommendations for the facilities the MU is charged with, services and programs. The MU provides community centered inclusive facilities and space that creates an environment for building significant relationships. The Memorial Union exists to develop students, create learning opportunities and provide quality facilities and services.

The anticipated wage for this position is $16.90.

Position tasks
   » Communicate and collaborate with partners and work with MU Creative Studio to design advertisements in and around MU Lanes & Games.
   » Plan promotions, events and advertisements for the upcoming term to ensure promotions are well advertised around campus in conjunction with the MU Activities team.
   » Manage and utilize MU Lanes & Games social media account and collaborate with MU Creative Studio to promote events.
   » Attend MU Marketing Team Meetings.
   » Keep website updated with promotions and current information
   » Plan quarterly activities for all MU staff in MU Lanes & Games as part of the MU committee
   » Pickup Front Desk shifts each week as needed
   » Update the website to reflect any upcoming changes
   » Update marketing materials around the facility including printed and electronic (ex. Hours, signage, promotions)

   » Must be academically enrolled in a high school, community college, or university and pursuing a program or course of study
   » Must meet Academic Standing Requirements; students on academic suspension are not eligible for employment
   » Must meet the applicable minimal enrollment standard
   » High School student: Regularly enrolled in a high school or participating in a home-schooling program
   » Undergraduate and post-baccalaureate student: 6 credit hours per term
   » Undergraduate international student: 12 credit hours per term*
   » Graduate student officially admitted to Graduate School: 5 credit hours per term
   » Graduate international student officially admitted to Graduate School: 9 credit hours per term*

*International students may be allowed to carry fewer hours than specified above and still be considered ?full-time? by the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS). A reduced course load is approved by the Office of International Services (OIS), and must be provided to the Student Employment Center.
