Position Summary Information

Position Summary: Nominations and applications are invited for the position of adjunct Professor in leadership abilities, area of specialization is open, however practice or interest in the areas of Community leadership abilities, Research Methods and Grant Writing is desirable. This is a full-time, tenure-track position to begin August 2025 and will serve graduate and undergraduate programs in the Department of leadership abilities. The prosperous candidate will have the opportunity to manage a dynamic and innovative curriculum and also transition into the function of Graduate Program Coordinator in the 2nd year of employment.

Primary tasks and Job responsibilities:
   » Starting in Year Two, serve as departmental Graduate Coordinator and commit to all responsibilities connected with that function.
   » Be willing to adopt innovative teaching methods and delivery as appropriate.
   » Possess the expertise, talents, and expertise to promote effective teaching in the discipline of leadership abilities.
   » Demonstrate respect for the diverse learning needs of students.
   » Demonstrate the capability to develop and implement curriculum objectives and content for courses offered and taught in one's curriculum area.
   » Maintain high standards and expectations for all students.
   » Use multiple measures to assess student learning on a regular basis and provide frequent feedback to students relative to their performance.
   » Be available, expertiseable and demonstrate proficiency in the practice of academic advisement of students.
   » Conduct appropriate research and scholarly/creative activity within the discipline.

   » A availability to engage in service to the department, college, university, and broader community.

Physical Requirements:
Required Minimum Appropriate qualifications:
   » Earned doctorate in leadership abilities or related social and behavioral science fields from a regionally accredited program. ABD will be considered if the doctorate will be completed by August, 2025.
   » Documented evidence of capability in a teaching assignment, particularly in an online environment.
   » Documented evidence of scholarly and creative achievement within the discipline of leadership abilities and/or leadership abilities-adjacent disciplines appropriate for the rank of adjunct Professor.
   » Documented evidence of university service and professional contributions and activities appropriate for that of an adjunct Professor.
