Through engaging and impactful education programs and outreach initiatives, you will help reduce information security risks by ensuring that students, faculty, and staff are well-informed about campus security policies and empowered to apply best practices in managing institutional data and technology. Working closely with the Information Security team, you'll take on a variety of dynamic activities, from crafting compelling security communications and managing website content to driving marketing and social media campaigns. You'll also play a vital function in planning educational events, monitoring training compliance, and continuously improving the program located on data and feedback. The University is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action employer and seeks candidates who understand, respect and can contribute to the University's mission and values. tasks and Job responsibilities:: Training and Evaluation: » Design and deliver engaging information security training and consciousness programs that resonate with diverse campus audiences. » Keep training materials fresh and significant by incorporating the latest security policies and best practices. » Partner with department leaders to assess and address specific training needs, fostering a collaborative approach to security education. » Measure the impact of security consciousness programs through metrics and feedback, identifying opportunities for improvement. » Produce insightful reports on training compliance and consciousness levels for senior management and stakeholders, highlighting successes and areas for growth. » Customize security training by working with subject matter experts on topics such as HIPAA, FERPA, GLBA, and PCI, ensuring the content is practical and applicable. » Leverage data-driven insights to refine and enhance security initiatives, ensuring they remain effective and aligned with campus needs. Communication: » Create clear, concise, and impactful communications that effectively convey security messages to various campus audiences, making complex topics accessible and engaging. » Establish and maintain continuing communication channels to keep the Villanova community informed and updated on security-related matters. » Work closely with the marketing and communications teams to ensure that messaging is not only consistent but also aligned with Villanova's brand, creating a unified voice across all platforms. Content Management and Documentation: » Develop engaging publications and website content that effectively communicate security policies and best practices, ensuring information is accessible and significant for the Villanova community. » supervise and continuously improve the online repository of security resources, making Information technology a user-friendly and valuable tool for all students, faculty, and staff. » Produce clear and well-organized policy and process documentation to support information security training, education, and consciousness programs, helping campus members easily understand and follow security protocols. Relationship Building: » Cultivate and nurture strong relationships across various departments to foster a culture of security consciousness and shared responsibility. » Serve as a key liaison between the information security team and other departments, ensuring open communication and effective collaboration on security initiatives. Other tasks as Assigned: » Perform other tasks and contribute to various information security projects as assigned. » Assist with communication efforts across the broader unit, lending your expertise to enhance the reach and impact of our security initiatives. Minimum Appropriate qualifications:: Formal Education » Bachelor's degree Work practice » 3+ years of practice in training, instructional design, and creating web content for diverse audiences, with a focus on simplifying complex information. Work expertise (e.g., written and verbal communication expertise) » Excellent interpersonal and presentation expertise with the capability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing with all levels within the organization, including both technical and non-technical stakeholders » capability to independently produce well-structured, persuasive, and accessible content tailored to various audiences. » Skilled at contextualizing technical information for campus-wide audiences in a clear, concise, and relatable manner. Specific Job expertise (e.g., expertise of principles and procedures related to field and area) » Proficiency in screen capture tools such as Loom or SnagIt to create and edit engaging visual content. » practice with phishing simulation platforms, using results to improve training effectiveness and impact. » expertise of Website/Content Management Systems for effectively managing and updating online content. » Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite, including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel, for creating presentations, reports, and other documents. Preferred Appropriate qualifications:: Formal Education » Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Communications or a related discipline. Work practice » At least 4 years of practice in training, instructional design, or web content creation for diverse audiences, particularly in translating complex topics into accessible content. » Higher education practice Work expertise (e.g., written and verbal communication expertise) » Desire to lgain and integrate new capabilities in digital technology, such as audio, video, social media, online communities, blogs, and other web-located technologies. Specific Job expertise (e.g., expertise of principles and procedures related to field and area) » expertise of website design and web content accessibility » expertise of collaborative platforms like SharePoint for document management and team collaboration. » capability to effectively utilize ticketing and project management tools like Team Dynamics. » Familiarity with social media and related tools for amplifying security messages. » Familiarity with email marketing software for creating, managing, and analyzing email campaigns such as MyEmma.
