Nights and weekends as needed for fundraising Hours per week 40 FLSA Status Exempt Division Athletics Department Athletics (Adm) Work Location Student Activity Center income Range $77,607 - $87,730 Primary Purpose of Department The mission of the Athletic Department at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte is to operate within the perspective of the overall educational programs. The Department of Athletic supports the highest ethical standards of the University, the NCAA and conference affiliation. Primary Purpose of Position The Director of Annual Giving provides overall strategy, leadership abilities, and direction for the Charlotte 49ers Athletic Foundation's annual giving program. The Director supervises the comprehensive strategy and implementation of all annual fund activities. The Director manages all aspects of annual giving while maintaining a portfolio of donors and will work to grow membership. The Director will also serve as a development liaison to a limited number of sports programs. Summary of Position Responsibilities The Director takes direction from the Chief Operating agent and works in close partnership with the Executive Director, providing leadership abilities to an adjunct Director of Annual Giving. The Director will also work closely with the Athletic Foundation's Event/Stewardship Coordinator to appropriately acexpertise annual fund donors. Minimum Education/practice » Bachelor's degree and 3 years of fundraising practice » capability to set goals and priorities, take initiative, and demonstrate accountcapability. » Proven success in building productive, long-term relationships with donors, prospects, coaches and former student-athletes » Excellent verbal, writing, and interpersonal communication expertise » capability to work independently and multi-task in an ever-changing environment » capability to travel and work nights, weekends, and holidays » Strong organizational and analytical expertise Preferred Education, expertise, expertise and practice » Master's degree and 5 years of fundraising practice in a Division I athletics program » Minimum one year practice in a lead annual fund/sales function » capability to interpret complex data to guide strategic decisions » expertise of fundraising techniques, principles, and evolving priorities » Proven success in fundraising specifically substantial growth of an annual fund program » Working expertise of Paciolan and Microsoft Office Suite programs Necessary Certifications/Licenses » Must hold a current, valid driver's license Preferred Certifications/Licenses Special Notes to candidates » UNC Charlotte Benefits Information: https://hr.charlotte.edu/benefits/benefits-overview/ » The finalist will be subject to a Criminal Background Check and/or a Motor Vehicle Report.
