PROJECT ARCHITECT
We are seeking for a motivated, thoughtful, and detail-oriented candidate to join our team in New York City.
At ESKW/Architects, we design community-focused projects that provide access to shelter, education, and culture for all.
Founded in 1960 by Judith and Harold Edelman, and currently led by Kimberly Murphy (AIA), Andrew Knox (FAIA), and Randy Wood (AIA), ESKW/Architects is a 35-person architectural firm located in New York City. With over sixty years of practice in the design industry, we have a strong commitment to the non-profit and institutional sectors. Education, housing, and healthcare are the cornerstones of our practice, and fostering long-term relationships is a common thread all over our history. Responsibilities
Contribute to projects of different scales including residential, education, healthcare, and/ or institutional projects, new construction, and adaptive reuse projects.
   » Coordinate and produce drawings for all project phases, including schematic design through construction administration.
   » Maintain strong communication with the project team and consultants, managing relationships all over the project.
   » During construction, attend site visits and construction meetings, reporting progress to the project team.
   » Participate in the design of multiple projects simultaneously.
Qualifications
   » Interest in institutional, education, healthcare, multifamily, and affordable housing projects.
   » Bachelor or Master of Architecture Degree.
   » Architectural registration preferred.
   » 7-11 years of professional practice.
   » Proficiency in REVIT.
   » expertise of AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite. 3d Studio Max, and/or Rhino, is a plus.
   » practice in all phases of Project Design and Construction Administration, including design documents, construction detailing, and coordination of consultants.
   » Construction Set development, and detailing capability
   » expertise of NYC zoning and building code.
   » Strong communication expertise in English.
   » Committed to sustainable design. LEED or Passive House accreditation, preferred.
