tasks & Job responsibilities: Advises and assists all F-1 international students and visiting scholars on immigration, visa, employment, cultural adjustment and transition matters. Identifies the needs of international students, prioritize needs, and refer students to appropriate resources to meet identified needs

tasks & Job responsibilities: Serves as Designated School Official (DSO) and maintains accurate and up-to-date information on student enrollment, domicile, and employment activities in the SEVIS database. Verifies eligibility, prepares and issues visa documents (DS-2019, I-20).

tasks & Job responsibilities: Maintains appropriate record keeping in compliance with
DHS, USCIS, DOS and University of Memphis regulations.

tasks & Job responsibilities: Plans and coordinates International Orientation, International Night, annual workshops,institute-wide activities promoting diversity and cultural consciousness, group programmingon acclimation matters, and intercultural social programming..

tasks & Job responsibilities: Manages office email and responds to prospective student inquiries. Prepares correspondence and official letters to support visa applications, funding from international agencies and other forms.

tasks & Job responsibilities: Maintains and updates the International Student Services website, Facebook and other social media sites as necessary.

tasks & Job responsibilities: Process student OPT/CPT employment paperwork and ensure compliance with federal regulations for up to 3 years post graduation.

tasks & Job responsibilities: Verify appropriate insurance coverage per federal regulations and place/remove holds in Banner.

tasks & Job responsibilities: Prepare different letters to assist students in transitions among activities on / off campus.

tasks & Job responsibilities: expertise and use of Terra Dotta for process student immigration paperwork.
