Position Summary This recruitment will be used to fill one part-time (a maximum of 24 hours per week during academic terms and up to 40 hours during summer break) Education Program adjunct for the Family & Community Health program at Oregon State University (OSU).

This student position will work closely with the Family & Community Health program at the Oregon State University Extension Service on the Confederated Tribes of Warm Springs on multiple aspects of designing and creating nutrition messaging for the program and will assist with other community health projects. This includes assisting in developing educational bulletin boards for elementary school, assisting in implementing summer school programming including working in gardens, and promoting the program through local events, preparing and offering samples of Food Hero recipes. The student will also have the opportunity to work collaboratively with community partners.

This learning opportunity will increase the expertise of students in the areas of community-located participatory research, community engagement and health leadership abilities, best practices in health promotion and behavior, and promoting policy, systems and environmental changes in order to optimize the nutrition and health of every person, every family and every community.

   » Must be academically enrolled in a high school, community college, or university and pursuing a program or course of study
   » Must meet Academic Standing Requirements; students on academic suspension are not eligible for employment
   » Must meet the applicable minimal enrollment standard
   » High School student: Regularly enrolled in a high school or participating in a home-schooling program
   » Undergraduate and post-baccalaureate student: 6 credit hours per term
   » Undergraduate international student: 12 credit hours per term*
   » Graduate student officially admitted to Graduate School: 5 credit hours per term
   » Graduate international student officially admitted to Graduate School: 9 credit hours per term*

*International students may be allowed to carry fewer hours than specified above and still be considered ?full-time? by the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS). A reduced course load is approved by the Office of International Services (OIS), and must be provided to the Student Employment Center.

Working Conditions / Work Schedule As such, candidates must be willing to travel within the local area and work flexible hours. Office location 1110 Wasco St, Warm Springs OR 97761. Work will need to be done in-person.
