A Bachelor's degree (BFA preferred) with a visual arts endorsement and a Tennessee teaching license are required. The school is interested in candidates with practice/training in art history, innovative strategies of teaching; including brain-located instruction or other effective instructional models. candidates will be expected to demonstrate excellence in teaching, a commitment to school improvement, an knowledge of urban education, and a availability to assume a leadership abilities function in the school. Supervising art teachers instruct elementary-aged students as well as supervise/coach/mentor college students. The school welcomes a diverse set of candidates.
