*Temporary staff employees are ineligible to receive benefits (leave, health coverage, State service credit, etc.). They are, however, covered by Worker's Compensation provisions.

However, any non-permanent employee hired to work 30 or more hours per week for three months or more (cumulative of all positions, and not designated as variable hour worker), must be offered the chance to enroll in the High Deductible Health Plan, within 30 days of their eligibility. Any non-permanent employee hired to work less than 30 hours per week (cumulative of all positions, or designated as variable hour worker - i.e. student workers) are measured during designated measurement periods. If they average 30 or more hours per week over a designated measurement period, they will be offered the chance to enroll in the High Deductible Health Plan, and will be notified of instructions.

Minimum practice/Education Bachelors Degree from accredited University or 4 years of significant practice

Departmental Preferred practice, expertise, Training/suitable education Candidates must have strong oral and written communication expertise; be enthusiastic, collaborative, and flexible. Ideal candidates would also have expertise and practice with the graduate admissions process and excellent working expertise of the graduate school and university websites.

tasks and Responsibilities The Graduate School Receptionist is the first point of contact for our customers and must provide a high level of client/customer service. The position requires an capability to lgain Graduate School policies, procedures, and processes, as well as a working expertise of University resources for students. This position requires critical thinking and decision-making expertise. Principle tasks and responsibilities include:
   » Assist Customer Service Manager in answering phones and greeting customers.
   » Informs and educates students, faculty, and staff regarding Graduate School policies and procedures
   » Assist students with graduate application questions, including program and process deadlines.
   » Assist with Graduate School events, such as registration, compiling recruitment brochures or other event materials.
   » Update program fliers or other materials as needed.
