The School of Mechanical, Industrial, and Manufacturing Engineering (MIME) is seeking an hourly Academic Wage: Faculty Research adjunct. This is a part-time (0.45 FTE), 12-month, fixed-term position. This position is anticipated to last approximately 2 months.

The Faculty Research adjunct will support the PI in research on human-in-loop underwater robot manipulation. The Faculty Research adjunct will identify, collect, analyze, and interpret primary data describing how humans interpret sensing data from a robot manipulator, and how humans interact with an autonomous manipulator system to make decisions about the best way to grasp objects. They will assist with behavioral research design, human subjects data collection, and data analysis. They will write research papers. They may work with undergraduate and graduate students working on similar projects.

What You Will Need
   » Bachelor's degree in psychology or equivalent field
   » expertise of behavioral research methods and statistics.
   » practice Programming in R.
   » practice with Document preparation using Overleaf
   » General expertise of human-in-loop underwater robot manipulation and shared autonomy systems
   » practice working effectively with diverse groups of students, researchers, and staff.

Working Conditions / Work Schedule Most work will be completed in a lab environment during normal business hours
