Min Hourly Rate $14.70 (Standard); $13.70 (Non-Urban); $15.95 (Portland Metro) Max Hourly Rate $21.00 (Standard); $20.50 (Non-Urban); $21.50 (Portland Metro) Position Summary The Special Collections and Archives Research Center (SCARC) is seeking candidates for a student adjunct position to provide support for the SCARC Oral History Program(Link is external) (Link opens in new window). This is a fully remote position offering a flexible schedule of 10-12 hours per week at a starting wage of $15.25 per hour. Position tasks A primary focus for this position will be reviewing and editing oral history interview transcripts created by professional transcriptionists as well as the Whisper AI speech recognition tool. Additional position tasks include composition of interview abstracts and biographical sketches, and other descriptive tasks related to the provision of online access to oral history content. A reduced course load is approved by the Office of International Services (OIS), and must be provided to the Student Employment Center.
