The King Estate story is woven into the history of Oregon wine, where winemaking is synonymous with discovery and sustaincapability.King Estate winery, located in Eugene, Oregon, is seeking a hardworking, enthusiastic, and practiced tasting room associate and server. Essential Job Functions: • Must have two years of practice + warm and engaging personality. • Responsible for presenting King Estate wines to guests • Responsible for achieving wine sales goals and club memberships. • Well educated about King Estate story, wines and vineyards. • Demonstrate fine dining service / etiquette. • Fulfill tasks with precision, finesse, meticulous follow through. • Understand the steps of service, execute them with efficiency and grace in a high-volume setting. • Complete opening, closing and side-work. • Perform all other tasks assigned by managers as needed. Requirements/Competencies: • Strong organizational expertise, capability to manage priorities and workflow. • Reasoning capability expertise: can carry out written or oral instructions without problems. • capability to maintain a positive attitude and gracious behavior when environment becomes stressful and fast-paced, and when priorities change. • Maintain professional demeanor and dress. • Have or capability to obtain a valid OLCC and food handler’s card. • Flexible schedule required: evenings, weekends, holidays as needed. Physical Requirements: • capability to lift 50+ pounds repeatedly. • Stand, sit, walk for extended periods of time. • Stoop, reach, kneel, or crouch, use hands for duration of shift. • The working environment has exposure to both indoors and outdoors.
