The ideal candidate will also help expand MWA’s field of skills in water quality laboratory design through the pursuit of educational, institutional, and speculative lab projects. The right person for our team is responsible, organized, and enthusiastic about this technical project type. You will be performing work that requires design proficiency, attention to detail, effective communication and collaboration with a project team, and a passion for creating well-designed projects. Your Job responsibilities: » Develop architectural design solutions for civic/infrastructure projects, with a focus on laboratory planning and design » Lead lab programming and space planning tasks » Manage coordination with clients and engineering consultants » Assist in development of technical documents for permit and construction » Coordinate materials/products with specification writers » Research codes, regulations, and industry best practices » Assist in construction administration activities » Assist in post-occupancy data collection » Supervise and mentor other team members » Assist in business development and proposal preparation for laboratory projects Minimum Requirements: » California, Oregon, and/or Washington state architecture license preferred » Bachelor’s degree in Architecture from an accredited program » 10+ years practice, seven years in specialized laboratory design » Proficiency in Revit, 3D computer modeling, MS office, and related programs advantages: » MWA offers a competitive income and compensation package, including paid time off (PTO), paid holidays, and an employer-matched 401K. » We offer a benefits package that includes medical, dental, and vision insurance; flexible spending accounts (FSA); short-term and long-term discapability, 401k match, and Employee Assistance Program (EAP). » You will be provided support in your professional development through continuing education opportunities, assistance with professional accreditations, and personalized mentorship. » We are currently on a hybrid work schedule, working 2-3 days/week in the office. This is subject to change. income Range: At MWA Architects, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a function.
