2024 Chrysalis Vineyards Harvest InternChrysalis VineyardsMiddleburg, VA APPLY» » » SAVE CREATE ALERT SHARE » » E-Mail: » » » formerly Twitter Listing descriptionChrysalis Vineyards is seeking Cellar Technician(s) for our upcoming 2024 harvest.Chrysalis Vineyards is a 412 acre farm located in Middleburg, VA, with 70 acres under vine. We are the world's leading producer of Norton grapes and wine. We also produce other varietals such as Albariño, Viognier, Petit Verdot, Petit Manseng, Tannat, Fer Servadou, Graciano, Nebbiolo, and Tinta Cão. We're looking for conscientious and detail-oriented individuals with an interest and passion for wine and winemaking. You will work directly with the winemaker using traditional winemaking techniques such as: barrel fermentation, malolactic fermentation, wild fermentations, as well as, carbonic maceration. Listing description -Assist winemaker in day to day harvest activities -Performs all aspects of cellar work -Cleaning, sanitizing, and sterilizing equipment -Transporting fruit from satellite vineyard to crush pad -Pressing, crushing and de-stemming fruit -Punch downs and pump overs -Racking wine Job Requirements: -Must be authorized to work in the US -Must have a valid US drivers license -capability to lift at least 50 pounds -Physically able to climb ladders and steps, be on your feet for extended periods of time in an environment that can be warm, cool, or wet -Follow safety protocol, good housekeeping practices, and standard operating procedures -Follow verbal and written instructions -Fork lift expertise are a plus, but not required -Willing to work long hours at the height of harvest (5-7 days a week, 10 or more hours per day) The perfect candidates will always have: -Positive attitude -Organized and have an attention to detail -Strong Initiative -Excited and enthusiastic about winemaking, grape growing, and wine -Enjoys working as a team or by themselves -Previous Harvest practice is a plus, but not required.
