Job Summary/Basic Function: About the function:
   » The Department of English and Modern Languages seeks candidates to teach lower division composition courses, including co-requisite courses and courses in the first-year composition sequence. These include ENGL 0301, 1301, and 1302.

What You'll Do - Position Responsibilities

   » Teach courses at assigned times using current pedagogical methods, keeping accurate records of students' grades.
   » Maintain effective and timely communication with students, chair of department, and composition director.
Key Competencies:

   » Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills. capability to implement effective and innovative teaching strategies.

Physical Requirements:

   » Able to lift 25 lbs and be able to execute a variety of physical tasks including lifting, bending, stooping, squatting, stair climbing and walking between buildings.
