This Executive Coach will manage a cohort of ten first-year adjunct principals from August 2025-May 2026. The Executive Coach will play an integral function in developing the broader support program, working closely with the UNC Charlotte Educational leadership abilities staff, school and district leadership abilities, and others to ensure effective and positive support for new administrators.Please note the proposed hire date is December 2024 but the assignment will not begin until August 2025. Position InformationGeneral InformationPosition Number STMP18 Working Title Executive Coach Division Academic Affairs Department College of Education (Col) Work Unit Educational leadership abilities Work Location The work location and work hours will vary Vacancy Open To All Candidates Position Designation Non-Student Temporary Employment Type Temporary - Part-time Hours per week 10 Work Schedule T ravel weekly and be available for the adjunct principals on weekends and evenings Pay Rate $40,000, or $4000.00 per student Minimum practice/Education » Master's degree from an accredited college or university in Educational leadership abilities/School Administration with current North Carolina Principal License » Minimum of three years' practice as a principal » Departmental Preferred practice, expertise, Training/suitable education expertise, expertise, and Dispositions: The candidate must be able to: » collaborate with the adjunct principal in the school environment » communicate model research-located best practices » identify practical, research-located resources (electronic, paper-located, human) to assist adjunct principals in meeting their goals » have crucial conversations with leaders » question in a way that promotes reflective practice » understand and work with diverse populations Must have: » strong oral and written communication, organization expertise » expertise of NC Executive leadership abilities Standards » A strong record of measurable results in a school » A passion for leading. Must be: » approachable, personable and empathetic » influencing and motivating to others » a good listener » a reflective practitioner » solution-oriented »willing to travel weekly and be available for the adjunct principals on weekends and evenings tasks and Responsibilities »Attend training sessions prior to August. » Conduct face-to-face school visits to meet with the adjunct principals from August through May » Communicate with the adjunct principal no less than once per week. » Assist new adjunct principals in gathering and analyzing data (quantitative and qualitative) to reflect on students' performance and their practice » Provide a variety of solutions to help adjunct principals improve their practice and therefore student achievement » Serve as a thought-partner to new leaders on covering school-located challenges » Build positive culture within network of leaders in their region » Develop expertise of regional and LEA resources along with the University School Partnerships » Collaborate with LEA personnel » Connect with other coaches; participate in professional development for coaches to improve practice Other Work/Responsibilities The Executive Coach will play an integral function in developing the broader support program, working closely with the UNC Charlotte Educational leadership abilities staff, school and district leadership abilities, and others to ensure effective and positive support for new administrators.
