Job Summary This recruitment will be used to fill one full-time Temporary Office Specialist 1: Accessible Formats Remediator position for Discapability Access Services at Oregon State University (OSU).

Discapability Access Services (DAS) aspires and actively works towards equitable and accessible practices for students with disabilities at Oregon State University.

This position will be responsible for the remediation of inaccessible course materials to include but not limited to: Remediating documents to HTML, and creating accessible PDFs, PPT, and Excel files. This position reports to the Assistive Technology Manager.

What We Require
Completion of courses or training in Office Technology; OR One year of general clerical practice which included typing, word processing, or other generation of documents; OR An equivalent combination of training and practice.
What You Will Need
   » practice working with Discapability Access Services in Higher Ed or similar environment.
   » capability to organize and manage multiple concurrent projects from start to finish.
   » capability to learn, understand, and master new technologies (including assistive technologies) under short deadlines.
   » Works well independently and as a team member;
   » Excellent communication (oral and written) expertise
   » Strong organizational expertise, detail-oriented, and capability to multitask
   » A demonstrable commitment to promoting and enhancing diversity.
What We Would Like You to Have
   » Bachelor's degree in Discapability Services, Biology, Psychology, or a significant field.
   » expertise of federal and state laws regarding discapability access and compliance, including Section 504 and 508 of the Rehabilitation Act and the ADA
   » 2 years of working with individuals with disabilities
   » practice with technology used in an academic setting, websites, databases, learning management and course presentation software (i.e. Canvas, Google Documents, etc.)
   » Prior practice with assistive technology and its uses.
Working Conditions / Work Schedule This is a remote position 8 am - 5 pm Monday through Friday.
