Harvest InternPride Mountain VineyardsSt Helena, CA APPLY» » » SAVE CREATE ALERT SHARE » » E-Mail: » » » formerly Twitter Listing descriptionPride Mountain Vineyards, a family-owned and operated winery perched high atop the Mayacamas Mountains between St. Helena and Santa Rosa, is seeking a Harvest Intern for the 2024 season (August – December).Interested candidates should be hardworking, kind, considerate and eager to learn. Essential Appropriate qualifications: • Authorization to work in the US • A driver’s license valid in California • capability to clearly communicate in English (spoken and written) • capability to execute demanding physical work (indoor and outdoor) including but not limited to lifting 50 lbs. repeatedly, positioning heavy equipment, bending, climbing, pulling or squatting for long periods • Sufficient math proficiency to accurately add, subtract, divide and multiply • capability to obtain forklift certification (training and testing provided by winery) • capability to understand and comply with all safety training requirements • For international candidates: authorization through CAEP.org Preferred Appropriate qualifications: B.S. in Viticulture, Enology or a related field; two or more years of harvest practice; past forklift training Typical tasks and Job responsibilities: • Vineyard and fermentations sampling • Sanitation of cellar and crush equipment • Wine movements including tank-to-tank transfers, racking, and barreling down • Fruit processing including receiving, pressing, dumping, de-stemming and crushing • Fermentation monitoring including sampling for Brix, temperature and lab samples • everyday cap and barrel management including stirring, punch downs and pump overs • Inoculations and additions Interested candidates should include their resume and a brief letter of introduction.
