Candidates must have a professional degree in Architecture and 4-8 years of architectural practice. They should have comprehensive design and documentation expertise and be able to demonstrate practice in a wide variety of project types, including hospitality, commercial, and residential design. The prosperous candidate will have broad practice communicating and building relationships with clients, contractors, and technical consultants. Expectations: Professional degree in architecture, plus at least 4 years of related practice. Provides professional architectural consultation in the planning, design, and coordination of small to large complex projects. Independently applies advanced architectural concepts and designs. Carries out complex or novel assignments requiring the development of new or improved techniques and procedures while also providing technical guidance as needed to less practiced architects. Job responsibilities: candidates should be ready to demonstrate both practice and comfort level jumping into a project at any phase. The function will include the following specific responsibilities and will expand with firm practice. Collaborating with and assisting senior staff all over all phases of the project lifecycle, from schematic design through construction administration. This will include: » Field observation and surveying » Design and planning » Coordination of team members and delegation of responsibilities » Client and Consultant Interface » Document Coordination » Construction Detailing » Quality Control (including review of all engineering and shop drawings to ensure compliance) Requirements: » Must be proficient in AutoCAD and Revit » Must have practice in Microsoft Office, BluBeam Revu, and Adobe Creative Suite (specifically InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator) » practice in Rhino, Grasshopper, and Enscape, Edited would be a plus » Time management expertise » Strong communication, writing, and graphic design expertise » Proactive and collaborative » Detail oriented, highly organized, and efficient » Capable of working in a rapid paced workflow » Relationship management expertise » Architectural registration and LEED certification are a plus To apply, email your resume, cover letter, and portfolio samples, as PDF attachments to E-Mail: jobs@gueringlass.comwith the subject line 'Intermediate Architect'.
