Offer: Tech Operations Specialist:Colorado Public RadioJob description: Tech Operations Specialist Listing description Colorado Public Radio (CPR) is seeking a Technical Operations Specialist. About the Position: The Technical Operations Specialist acts as the primary quality control for audio on CPR's four program services. You monitor and assist in troubleshooting audio playout, routing, and transmission systems to ensure that correct audio that meets CPR quality standards is being broadcast.You provide support for other departments in their interactions with these systems and respond to emergencies as well as routine help requests. There are two TOC Specialist levels - Specialist and Senior Specialist. located on a candidate's level of practice, they may be qualified for the senior level function. This is not a remote position. The TOC Specialist is expected to reside in the Denver Metro area upon starting. About You: You are an adaptable team player who is open to new ideas, handles pressure well, and can adjust your plans in order to meet changing needs. You are an excellent communicator with strong active listening expertise. You enjoy collaboration and working with others to deal with problems. You have a high standard of customer service that you provide to internal stakeholders and colleagues. You are motivated to lgain new systems and tools. Minimum Appropriate qualifications: » A minimum of 4 years of practice related to the function that includes using office productivity software and practice using numerous specialized audio editing and broadcast automation software systems. » A demonstrated capability to stay calm, think clearly, act strategically, and prioritize tasks during emergencies. » Excellent attention to detail and the capability to follow detailed procedures. » A demonstrated history of being punctual and reliable in adhering to a set work schedule. » Adequate hearing to make audio quality determinations. » Adequate vision to read user access panels on broadcast electronic components. » Physical mobility and dexterity to access electronic devices and wiring in standard server racks. » capability to occasionally lift up to 25 pounds. Education Equivalency: » While not required, a Bachelor's degree or Master's degree relating to the function may replace some of the necessary years of practice required to qualify.
