Wine Consultant (Part-time)Cliff Lede VineyardsYountville, CA APPLY» » » SAVE CREATE ALERT SHARE » » E-Mail: » » » formerly Twitter Listing descriptionCliff Lede Vineyards, a beautiful, premium winery located in the Stags Leap District, is seeking part-time and on-call Wine Consultants who are passionate about gracious hospitality, sales, and wine education while working in a team environment. The ideal candidate will enjoy interacting with a wide variety of guests, be relaxed in an ever-changing and fast-paced environment, be able to multitask and have the drive to exceed goals. An appreciation for classic rock music is a plus.Work Schedule The Part-time function averages 3 days a week including weekends and some holidays. Primary tasks and Responsibilities Job tasks may change but include the following: • Provide members and guests with outstanding hospitality and unique practices • Educate guests about our history and describe our wines and winemaking techniques • Anticipate guest needs • Develop continuing relationships with guests and members to drive repeat visits and future sales • Promote and sell different levels of our Wine Club and wines • Maintain a positive "can do" attitude • Work with and assist team members working toward a common goal • Manage change and adapt to a quick-changing environment • Handle routine retail transactions, including operating point of sale system, accounting for everyday sales and shipping orders consistently and accurately • Assist with hospitality special events, trade, and media guests • Participate in opening and closing tasks while maintaining a clean workspace • Actively participate in regularly scheduled staff meetings • Stay current on recent wine reviews and industry issues • Assist managers in providing a safe, healthy, and secure environment for guests and staff • Stay current on other wine practices in Napa Valley to recommend to our guests • Other tasks, as assigned Job Requirements • Proven capability to close sales and enlist wine club memberships • A reputation for gracious hospitality and a positive attitude • A track record of sales success • Must be a team player who works well with others • knowledge of wine and wine production • capability to lift and carry a case of wine (45-50 lbs.) • capability to adhere to company workplace guidelines, including dress code • Must be able to stand for long periods of time • 2+ years of Tasting Room practice or equivalent • Proficiency in Wine Direct (Vin65) or similar point of sale system a plus • practice with Tock or similar reservation systems a plus • Must be at least 21 years of age Compensation: base hourly $ 21-23, plus gratuities and sales commissions Diversity & Inclusion Lede Family Wines, including Cliff Lede Vineyards, FEL Wines, Poetry Inn, and all connected entities are committed to diversity and inclusion.
