A candidate having actual laboratory or manufacturing shop floor practice in addition to being a patent agent or attorney would be preferred. Candidates can work remotely; candidates who wish to work from one of our offices in Atlanta, Georgia; Washington, D.C.; or Hartford, Connecticut may do so. The ideal candidate has two or more years of practice as an attorney or agent drafting and globally prosecuting patent applications in chemical and materials science. The firm will offer training for candidates with less than two years' practice and candidates with all practice levels are encouraged to apply. A Ph.D. or Master's in chemical or materials science is preferred. expertise of chemistry would be advantageous. U.S. Patent and Trademark Office registration as an attorney or agent is required.
