The SLA will strive to support a welcoming environment which fosters education through leadership abilities and service. The primary function of a Student leadership abilities adjunct is to support the mission of CLCE. This includes: » everyday office admin operations including greeting visitors, checking mail, answering phones, and organizing files. » Assist office staff with CLCE programs and events. This includes leadership abilities, service, and voter engagement programs and initiatives here at ECU. » Lead and facilitate different initiatives such as: Alternative Break practices, Chancellor's Student leadership abilities Academy, Citizen U, LeaderShape, Pirates GIVE, and Pirates VOTE. » Serve as a student leader for one Pirates Give Day of Service and plan at least one Pirates Give Pop Up Service event per semester. » Manage and recruit participants and volunteers for CLCE programs and events. » Attend outreach events that promote CLCE related programs and events (weekly tabling events, university sponsored visitation days, etc.) » Assist with ECU's Williams-Ross Purple Pantry tasks including managing inventory, coordinate deliveries, reports, and events with community partners. » Attend monthly Student leadership abilities adjunct leadership abilities meetings to discuss upcoming events and tasks. Rate of pay: $9.00-$10.00/hr.
