Primary Purpose of Position Assist the Director of Parking and Transportation Services with day-to-day office-related tasks such as: answering telephones, responding to and/or organizing emails, filing, scheduling calendar appointments, typing & formatting documents in MS Word, basic spreadsheet creation and formatting in MS Excel, basic presentation formatting in MS PowerPoint. This position will also administer 2nd-level parking citation appeals, consisting of reviewing the appeal, the citation and account history, information related to the initial appeal, the reason for being upheld, and interviewing appellant when necessary. The position will then respond to the customer with a decision in electronic format. Finally, this position will be responsible for other miscellaneous administrative tasks as requested by Parking and Transportation management. Minimum Education/practice Required Minimum Appropriate qualifications: Graduation from high school and one year of related office practice; or an equivalent combination of education and practice. University Preferred Appropriate qualifications: Graduation from high school and demonstrated expertise, expertise, and abilities gained through three years of specialized office practice or an equivalent combination of education and practice. Essential Job tasks Assist the Director of Parking and Transportation Services with day-to-day office-related tasks such as: » Answering telephones. » Responding to and/or organizing emails » Filing, scheduling calendar appointments. » Typing & formatting documents in MS Word. » Basic spreadsheet creation and formatting in MS Excel » Basic presentation formatting in MS PowerPoint.
