Our primary passion is for mixed-use market rate and affordable housing projects, and we have several exciting large-scale and high-rise projects under development. We have an immediate opening for a Job Captain / Architect with 5-8 years of practicethrough all phases of design, documentation, and construction administration. The ideal candidate can effectively work both collaboratively and independently, manage fast-paced deadlines while incorporating client and city feedback, and produce high-quality work. We are pursuing a highly motivated, conscientious and detail-oriented person with strong communication and interpersonal expertise to join our team. Ottinger Architects supports a collaborative work environment and offers the opportunity to work on many facets of a project, from initial concept to construction. Our goal is to create a well-rounded office where we foster the opportunity for gaining a breadth of practices. We offer the capability to work a hybrid schedule, but all candidates must be able to work in the office on a weekly basis for in-person meetings and collaboration with the principal and team members. Position Requirements: » Professional degree in Architecture » Minimum of 5 years of post-graduate practice working in architecture » practice working on multi-family residential projects » Knowledge of type I, high-rise building construction as well as type IIIwood construction » Strong design and technical expertise with a passion for urban design and creative housing solutions » Strong organizational expertise with the capability to meet deadlines and maintain high-quality work » knowledge of the building code and accessibility requirements » capability to coordinate consultant drawings and systems » Proficiency in Revit, Enscape, V-Ray, Rhino and Adobe Creative Suite.
