Primary Function of Organizational Unit The mission of the college is to serve as a national model for transforming the health of rural underserved regions through excellence and innovation in nursing education, leadership abilities, research, scholarship, and practice.

Job tasks Assist with recruitment and retention of PMHNP faculty.
Oversight and review of the unit program's graduate curriculum.
supervises recruitment and unit admission decisions in consultation with unit graduate faculty or graduate faculty committees, as may be specified by the unit code.
Administers the admission of candidates to the program and responds to routine requests for program information and applications.
Serves as liaison between the department, college, graduate school, and any other such agencies with which the graduate program comes into contact.
Schedules and supervises advising, qualifying examinations and conflict resolutions involving graduate students.
Schedules and conducts graduate faculty and/or graduate committee meetings.
Responds to routine requests for program information and applications.
Maintains files for each graduate student.
Maintains data base for all PMHNP program graduates
Assists the unit chair and working with (graduate) faculty/ graduate committee in program review, program assessment, allocation of resources, curriculum development, student assessment, and graduate faculty rank/status.
Coordinates publication on the availcapability of graduate scholarships and the selection of awardees.
Reviews and signs official forms required by the Graduate School.
Ensures Degree Works audits are done periodically on each student.
Attends the Graduate School's meetings of the Graduate Program Directors and Coordinators.

**INTERNAL POSTING: Open only to candidates currently employed by East Carolina University

Minimum Education/practice 2 years in PMHNP practice, preferably 1 year of PMHNP education in an academic setting

License or Certification Required by Statute or Regulation PMHNP certification & NC PMHNP license

Preferred practice, expertise, Training/Education 5 years in PMHNP practice, 1 year of PMHNP education in an academic setting. Software expertise: Canvas or other Learning Management System, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint), computer literacy, academic writing proficiency, grant writing, 2 years leadership abilities practice

License or Certification Required by the Department
