Are you ready to dive into thrilling projects and make a real impact? Woodward Library at Austin Peay State University is seeking dynamic individuals for an exciting part-time position! As part of our dedicated team, you'll have the opportunity to work on several massive projects that will shape the future of our library.

This position has required hours on weekends:
Friday 3-6pm
Saturday 9am-5pm
Sunday 12:30-5

Primary tasks and Job responsibilities:
   » Assist in planning and coordinating digitization projects for university records, government documents, microfilm, and other archival materials.
   » Collaborate with team members to establish digitization standards and quality control measures.
   » Monitor progress, troubleshoot issues, and adjust project timelines as needed to meet goals.
   » Utilize university record and cataloging systems to search, retrieve, and verify records for digitization projects.
   » Collaborate with cataloging staff to resolve discrepancies and ensure accurate representation of digital assets.
   » Shelving Management and Space Optimization:
   » Assess space utilization and implement strategies for optimizing shelving layouts and storage configurations.
   » Coordinate collection shifting activities to accommodate new acquisitions, digitization projects, or space reorganization initiatives.
   » Ensure compliance with safety standards and accessibility requirements in shelving arrangements.
   » Regularly inspect shelving units for structural integrity and maintenance needs.
   » Maintain detailed documentation of digitization projects, including project plans, schedules, and resource allocation.
   » Document digitization workflows, procedures, and best practices for future reference and expertise sharing.
   » Gather feedback from users and stakeholders to identify areas for improvement and inform future project planning.

Required Minimum Appropriate qualifications:
   » High school graduate or equivalent.
   » Demonstrated expertise using MS Office Suite or similar
