   » Full -Time REMOTE 8:30 a.m. - 5:30 p.m. Monday - Friday
   » With the occasional requirement of coming into the office, when needed
   » capability to work a flexible schedule between the hours of 7:00 am - 5:30 pm, as needed.
Primary Purpose of Position Positions in this banded class are characterized by their performance of a variety of administrative, secretarial, and office support tasks. Positions require knowledge of the office or work unit policies and procedures in order to communicate information involving programs, functions, and services. tasks performed may include preparation of documents and reports, the use of office technology, compiling records, organizing and maintaining files, posting information, greeting/referring/assisting visitors/clients/staff/others, mail distribution, and photocopying. The completion of work often involves a public contact function to obtain, clarify, or provide information regarding activities of the work unit or program. Positions may serve as the primary staff adjunct to a department or program manager.

Minimum Education/practice Required Minimum Appropriate qualifications:

Graduation from high school; or an equivalent combination of education and practice.

University Preferred Qualifications :

Graduation from high school, or completion of its equivalency, and two years of office/clerical work practice; or an equivalent combination of training/practice.

Essential Job tasks The Administrative Support Associate provides support to the Facilities Operations unit. tasks include, but are not limited to:
   » Answer phone calls, enter accurate data, maintain spreadsheets, and other professional requirements in an office setting.
   » Work with all personality types to accomplish business needs.
   » Build and maintain effective productive customer relations.
   » Interact with customers, managers, and others from multiple departments.
   » Develop and maintain effective working relationships with others in order to encourage and support communication and teamwork.
   » Communicate with management to obtain knowledge of the organization mission and objectives.
   » Maintain high level of service aptitude and program knowledge.
   » Independently make decisions using sound professional judgement. accordingly with established policies and procedures.
   » Demonstrate respectful, courteous professionalism and integrity at all times.
Other Work Responsibilities
   » Maintain accurate information logs and forms which include work requests.
   » Resolve customer issues by adhering to established Facilities Operations policies and procedures.
   » Respond to inquiries which require written explanation of established policies, procedures and programs.
   » Applies knowledge and interpretation of policies and procedures to provide professional, positive, and supportive communication of information.
   » Respond calmly to people under stress or expressing displeasure with situational factors.
   » Perform other tasks as assigned and/or delegated.

Necessary Licenses or Certifications
   » Valid driver's license. Administrative Support Specialist may operate assigned vehicles on and/or off campus and must possess, maintain, or obtain a valid driver's license upon appointment to the position.
