Primary Purpose of Position The Faculty-Led Programs Coordinator will support the Associate Director in the implementation of short-term and other faculty-led programs. The Faculty-Led Programs Coordinator will also serve as the primary student advisor for UNC Charlotte's faculty-led programs. This position reports to the Associate Director of the Office of Education Abroad (EA). Minimum Education/practice Required Minimum Appropriate qualifications: Bachelor's degree; or equivalent combination of training and practice. All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions. Essential Job tasks The Faculty-Led Programs Coordinator will work closely with the Associate Director in the development, implementation, and administration of all faculty-led programs. The Coordinator will also serve as EA's primary student advisor for UNC Charlotte's faculty-led programs. This position reports to the Associate Director in the Office of Education Abroad. » Serve as the primary advisor and contact for students interested in UNC Charlotte's faculty-led study abroad programs » Communicate EA and University policies and procedures to faculty and students, explaining how these apply to EA programming needs and intended results » Assist Associate Director with the development, promotion, and administration/implementation of UNC Charlotte's growing portfolio of faculty-led programs » Assist Associate Director in facilitation of faculty workshops and trainings related to leading study abroad programming » Work collaboratively with Office of Education Abroad (EA) team members to support and advance consciousness of study abroad opportunities at UNC Charlotte » Collaborate with other EA team members to ensure data management processes all over EA are consistently aligned » Assist EA team members in facilitation of other campus presentations on study abroad » Administer application, enrollment, and pre-departure processes and materials for faculty-led programs, problem solving as necessary while doing so » Employ Terra Dotta Software (TDS) for Study Abroad and other information technologies and be able to ensure the accuracy and integrity of the data, analyze collected data to monitor program trends and results, and to make program improvements when needed. » Lead pre-departure orientations and communicate pre-departure information to students on faculty-led programs » Complete course registration in Banner for students on faculty-led freestanding programs » Develop cost estimate materials for faculty-led programs » Send and monitor evaluations for faculty-led programs » Manage grade reporting for faculty-led programs » Provide courteous and timely customer service to students, parents, faculty, and staff to include providing recommendations for problem solving and maintaining productive and collaborative relationships with EA clients to fulfill the position's tasks. » Manage communications to students interested in or participating in faculty-led programs through the advising, pre-departure, while abroad, and returnee phases » supervise development of faculty-led program websites and online application processes. Support development and maintenance of the EA website. » Administer faculty-led program sections of the EA website, » Develop and edit website content as needed, making recommendations to the EA team on effective page design. » Assist Associate Director with program development tasks, including management and review of program proposals, assistance with program budgets, etc. » Assist faculty with information sessions on faculty-led programs » Manage development of online brochures and printed promotional materials for all faculty-led programs » Assist faculty in program proposal and application review processes Administer TDS software training for faculty and non-EA staff who need access to the system » Assist the Associate Director in managing programs during proposal, development, and implementation phases » Contribute to development and management of technical processes for faculty, students, and programs within the TDS software » Serve as primary communicator to students about EA processes and general program information Communicate with faculty as needed all over the program development and implementation process » Assist with facilitation of faculty workshops and training » Lead the EA team in marketing & outreach efforts and event planning » Train and supervise some of EA's student employees » Other tasks as assigned Other Work Responsibilities » Develop cost estimate materials for faculty-led programs » Send and monitor evaluations for faculty-led programs » Manage grade reporting for faculty-led programs » Provide courteous and timely customer service to students, parents, faculty, and staff to include providing recommendations for problem solving and maintaining productive and collaborative relationships with EA clients to fulfill the position's tasks. » Manage communications to students interested in or participating in faculty-led programs through the advising, pre-departure, while abroad, and returnee phases » supervise development of faculty-led program websites and online application processes.
