Position Summary This recruitment will be used to fill one part-time (a maximum of 24 hours per week) Design Teaching adjunct position for the College of Business, School of Merchandising, Analytics and Design at Oregon State University (OSU).

This position will assist in activities for the Design Create Space.

This position may have access to confidential student information protected by the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA), as well as other private information. To complete all of the tasks for this position, the Student Clerical/Teaching adjunct must complete training on FERPA policies and sign an agreement to maintain the confidentiality of protected information.

The pay rate will be $15.70 per hour.

Position tasks Assist with a variety of tasks, as assigned, that may involve repetitive tasks or creativity. tasks may include, but are not limited to: maintaining the aesthetic and functional aspects of the Design Create Space, training and assisting others with the proper use of a variety of design equipment, including modeling equipment (such as 3-D and resin printers), cutting equipment (such as CNC and laser cutters), sewing equipment and painting equipment, maintaining a welcoming atmosphere for students to meet and create, creating how-to videos and documents, preparation of course materials, working with video, text and images, creating or managing files in Google Drive, and entering information into Canvas.

   » Must be academically enrolled in a high school, community college, or university and pursuing a program or course of study
   » Must meet Academic Standing Requirements; students on academic suspension are not eligible for employment
   » Must meet the applicable minimal enrollment standard
   » High School student: Regularly enrolled in a high school or participating in a home-schooling program
   » Undergraduate and post-baccalaureate student: 6 credit hours per term
   » Undergraduate international student: 12 credit hours per term*
   » Graduate student officially admitted to Graduate School: 5 credit hours per term
   » Graduate international student officially admitted to Graduate School: 9 credit hours per term*

*International students may be allowed to carry fewer hours than specified above and still be considered ?full-time? by the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS). A reduced course load is approved by the Office of International Services (OIS), and must be provided to the Student Employment Center.

Working Conditions / Work Schedule 5 hours per week, some flexibility, schedule to be determined with employee input. Most to all work will be performed on-site, in the Design Create Space in Milam Hall.
