Min Hourly Rate $14.70 (Standard); $13.70 (Non-Urban); $15.95 (Portland Metro) Max Hourly Rate $19.00 (Standard); $18.50 (Non-Urban); $20.00 (Portland Metro) Position Summary This recruitment will be used to fill One part-time (a maximum of 24 hours per week) Landscaping Student for the Forestry Administration at Oregon State University (OSU). Reporting to the Arboretum Coordinator, this position is responsible for landscape maintenance tasks around the College of Forestry buildings and the small arboretum outside the Peavy Forest Science Center on the Corvallis campus. You will be trained to work safely with hand tools and attend to the health of the plants, trees, and lawns that comprise the landscape. This is an excellent opportunity to lgain plant health and identification expertise! Flexible hours and the option to work during school breaks and summer are available. Position tasks » Performs a range of landscape maintenance tasks, including weeding, pruning, and mulching. » Safely transports and utilizes landscaping equipment and supplies, such as weed eaters, wheelbarrows, shovels, rakes, and other gardening tools. » Removes litter and reports safety issues to manager or campus personnel.
