Position Summary Information

Job Summary/Basic Function: About this function:
Primary responsibility will be to support the day-by-day operations for Prometric Services. This area of testing is a revenue source for the University. Prometric and Lamar University have a contract that lists the Center for Career & Professional Development as a ?certified? site for all Prometric exams nationally. The Test Center Administrator for Prometric Services will be required to administer up to 2,500 exams offered through our testing center on an annual basis. The TCA will be responsible for supporting the Coordinator of Prometric services at the testing site daily. Additionally, the TCA is required to participate in continuing training via administrative computer training modules to administer Prometric exams. Lamar University's Center for Career & Professional Development currently offers routine Prometric exams such as CPA exam, PHR exam, United States Medical License Exams Step 1, 2, and 3, GRE, TOEFL, MCAT, DAT, Financial Security exams, Fire Marshall Exams, Recertification for Family Medical Exams for Physicians, Nurse Practitioner (AANP) Certification, Physical Therapy Certification and numerous of others. The TCA of Prometric Services, once certified by Prometric, must maintain a high level of security of the testing lab, meeting Prometric standards with twenty-four-hour audio and video observations. The TCA will support the Coordinator of Prometric Services with training and certification of lab proctors as needed. everyday tasks for the Test Center Administrator will include: supervising test candidates in order to ensure the efficient administration and execution of tests, to be involved in all aspects of the day to day operation of the center, checking identification and confirming eligibility for test candidates, monitoring candidates while they are testing to provide a secure testing environment while protecting the test, be responsible for holding keys to the testing facility, lgain how to use test center equipment and software applications, support operations and technical personnel with compliance of any/all instructive data communications received at the testing center, lgain to operate recording equipment, digital camera, telephone system, and alarm system, actively participate in Prometric Service quality assurance, audit programs and other comply exercises and initiatives as a flexible team player, and be flexible in hours available for work. Provide support and relief to Coordinator of Prometric Services and supervises in absence.

What You'll Do - Position Job responsibilities:
   » Administration for up to 2,500 exams offered annually. Ensure the security of testing materials, equipment, documentation, examinees, certified lab proctors and demographic information of examinees and proctors to support testing regulations.
   » Maintain accurate databases and thorough documentation regarding misconduct and irregularities that may occur.
   » Must pass and maintain certification to deliver exams. Must complete background check and fingerprints to test IRS candidates (only one of three testing locations in Texas and Louisiana).
