Job AnnouncementPosition InformationPosition Title: Part Time EMT Instructors Campus: Plainfield Department: Practical Nursing & Allied Health Full-time, Part-time, Adjunct: Part Time Exempt or Non-Exempt: Non-Exempt Regular,Temporary, or Grant: Regular General Description: Instructor's responsibilities shall be teaching course segments as assigned by EMT Program Coordinator. Characteristics, tasks, and Job responsibilities: • Teaches assigned courses material in conformity with the approved course outline, in conformity with schedule of classes and incorporating alternative approaches, technologies and methods when possible. • Meets all scheduled class sessions. • Advises Program Director of absences in a timely manner. • Cooperates with Coordinator in developing and revising courses of study and curricula when asked. • Incorporates an appreciation of diverse lifestyles, cultures and national perspectives into courses. • Attends scheduled program staff meetings. • Plans in advance to ensure availcapability of classroom equipment requisite to prosperous teaching of assigned tasks. • Adheres to professional standards of procedures. • Adheres to College policies and procedures. Education Requirements: Certification or license as needed and appropriate as outlined by the NJ State Department of Health-OEMS for EMT Instructors. practice: • Demonstrated master of subject matter of discipline. • Demonstrated capability to teach.
