The Louis Stokes Alliance for Minority Participation program is seeking a salaried Academic Wage: OSU LSAMP Coordinator. This is a full-time (1.00 FTE), 12-month, fixed-term position. This position is anticipated to last approximately 6 months.

The LSAMP Coordinator position is part of the universities' dedication to enhancing and expanding opportunities for underrepresented students. The Louis Stokes Alliance for Minority Participation (LSAMP) program at Oregon State University (OSU) is a five-year grant program focused on increasing retention and graduation of underrepresented minorities enrolled in the Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) related fields at thirteen partner institutions participating in the Pacific Northwest LSAMP alliance funded by the National Science Foundation (NSF).

The LSAMP Coordinator is responsible for superviseing the Louis Stokes Alliance for Minority Participation (LSAMP) program and coordinating various LSAMP undergraduate retention and student success programs, including assessment, reporting, and liaison work with partner institutions. The program utilizes various promising practices which integrate students into the academic life of the institution and into their chosen discipline leading to greater success and retention. Students are provided with financial, academic, social, and professional support in a coordinated effort to help them find community, sense of belonging, and success.

Key Responsibilities 60% OSU LSAMP Program Coordination and Oversight:
   » Direct academic success initiatives related to the grant, including managing the summer bridge program and providing academic counseling.
   » Coordinate tutoring services and academic success workshops for LSAMP students in collaboration with campus partners.
   » Manage engagement of LSAMP students from Linn-Benton Community College and recruit prospective students through various methods.
   » Foster a cohort-located community for STEM students, including peer mentoring and faculty involvement.
   » supervise the disbursement of LSAMP student support funds and maintain the operational aspects of the LSAMP Center on campus.

20% Supervision:
   » Manage student staff, peer mentors, and undergraduate researchers, including recruitment, hiring, training, supervision, and performance management.

10% Reporting and Assessment:
   » Gather and compile data for reporting purposes, including NSF PNW-LSAMP grant requirements and institutional processes.
   » Collaborate with PNW-LSAMP partner institutions to establish reporting methods and procedures and identify effective programs.
   » Assist in targeted assessments related to LSAMP program objectives and results.

5% University Service:
   » Participate in assigned university activities related to LSAMP programs and support diversity-related initiatives within LSAMP and the university community.

5% Additional tasks as Required:
   » Fulfill any additional tasks as necessary for the function.
What You Will Need
   » Bachelor's degree in a STEM field, education, or other significant field to the position
   » Proven organizational skills with a track record in program planning and coordination.
   » Previous managery practice.
   » practice working with diverse populations of college students in an academic advising/counseling capacity
   » Proficiency in data analysis and presentation using spreadsheets and similar tools.
   » Demonstrated skills in event planning and program evaluation.
   » capability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively.
   » Strong commitment to promoting diversity and inclusion.

This position is designated as a critical or security-sensitive position; therefore, the incumbent must prosperously complete a criminal history check and be determined to be position qualified as per University Standard: 05-010 et seq. Incumbents are required to self-report convictions and those in youth programs may have additional criminal history checks every 24 months.

Working Conditions / Work Schedule This position works in an office environment. Some evening and weekend work could be required. This position may be required to travel to various program event locations to deliver training/workshops/recruitment activities in addition to other tasks that require the incumbent to be on-site.
