Offer: Self-Help - Financial Wellness Interns:Rice UniversityJob description:Self-Help - Financial Wellness InternsBookmark this Posting Print Preview | Apply for this JobPosition DetailsPosition InformationAdvertising Department STUDENT SERVICES OPERATIONS Academic Term/Year Fall 2024/Spring 2025 Position Title Self-Help - Financial Wellness Interns Posting Number 06629 Position Number 06629 Student Job Category Student - Self-Help Campus Job Number of Vacancies 3 Job Description ECU Department of Student Services Operations' Financial Wellness Hub and Center for Student Success is currently seeking several Financial Wellness Interns for the upcoming academic year, depending on applicant pool, qualifications, and working availcapability of selected candidates. Financial Wellness Interns are trained on major aspects of personal financial management (budgeting, credit, student loans, financial planning/goal setting, and banking terminology) in addition to identifying campus resources for students to save money. Interns will be trained to assist other students in knowledge federal student loan repayment plans and how to make payments, pulling credit reports, and other hands-on financial expertise. Interns will also be taught public speaking and one on one coaching expertise. No prior personal financial management practice/courses are required; all training will be conducted on-site. Estimated weekly commitment of 7-14 hours at a rate of $12/hour, and can count towards CFP and AFCPE financial counseling hours. Financial Wellness Intern Job tasks: » Present to the ECU community on various personal financial management topics. » Assist in student coaching appointments with a certified personal financial manager, take notes, and provide feedback to students when appropriate. Interns eventually meet with other undergraduate students independently. » Interns will take the lead on their own self-directed project if desired that extends beyond the financial education workshops/appointments that make up the core of this internship practice. These projects will be determined located on the strengths and interests of the selected interns. Preferred (Majors, practice, GPA, etc.) GPA minimum of 3.0 is preferred.
