Posting DetailsPosting SummaryPosition Title: Cardinal Activities Board Event Staff (Position for Spring 2024) Posting Number: STU301 VP Area: VP Student Affairs Division: Student Engagement Department: Student Engagement Job location: Student Setzer Center Student manager: Kyle Fayan Work Study Required?: No Job tasks: » Assist in executing event logistics, including setup, breakdown, and coordination of event flow. » Collaborate with the Event agents to ensure all event materials and supplies are organized and prepared. » Assist in promoting events through various channels such as social media and flyers. » Assist with vendors and external partners to fulfill event requirements. » Support the Marketing agent in conducting post-event evaluations, gathering feedback, and identifying areas for improvement. » Provide input and contribute ideas for enhancing event practices and increasing student engagement. Minimum Appropriate qualifications: » Demonstrate practice in leadership abilities, event support, or significant organizational functions. » Strong organizational expertise with the capability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities effectively. » Excellent communication expertise, both written and verbal, for effective collaboration with team members and stakeholders. » capability to work effectively in a team environment, taking direction from leadership abilities while also demonstrating initiative and autonomy. » Adaptcapability and resilience in managing changing priorities and unexpected challenges during events. » availability to work evenings and weekends as required to support event coverage. » Commitment to the mission and values of the university, with a desire to contribute to the student practice. » Enthusiasm for engaging with campus activities and promoting student involvement. » Minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5 and good standing with the university. Physical Requirements: » The position requires the capability to lift and move event materials/equipment. This position may require long hours spent standing during events. Candidates should be able to stand, walk, and perform job tasks for extended periods.
