This mission of the Office of Student Affairs is to create a supportive environment in which medical student may develop personally and professionally, and to maintain records of students' accomplishments toward their medical school requirements. Job tasks Brody School of Medicine's Department of Academic Affairs, Office of Student Affairs, is seeking to fill their full-time Foundational Support Coordinator position. This position will provide support for all students in the foundational curriculum at the Brody School of Medicine. The function provides professional level administrative and programmatic support to the pre-clinical medical students as well as multiple other initiatives in the office including planning and budgeting for events and programs and tracking/reporting student data. The Office of Student Affairs is responsible for planning, scheduling, evaluating, and executing various programs in the medical school curriculum while ensuring student success. The coordinator will communicate with faculty team members, students, and administration to facilitate the effective implementation of foundational programs. This position assumes primary responsibilities for facilitating implementation of the programs and student success on a day-to-day basis, reviews materials, ensures that essential deadlines are met, and coordinates with team members to ensure coordinated effective delivery. This position will also assist with connecting with students on a professional and personal level to facilitate Learning Community initiatives. This position, along with faculty advisors in the Learning Communities and the Associate Dean for Student Affairs (Foundational Sciences) will set a foundation for lifelong learning for medical students.
