Job detail Staff Industrial Hygienist Requisition Number: 2024-1130-08 S&ME seeks a motivated and passionate Staff Industrial Hygienist to join our Environmental team in Charleston, South Carolina . As a Staff Industrial Hygienist , your function involves performing both field and office work connected with industrial hygiene under the supervision of certified industrial hygienists (CIHs) and other practiced environmental health and safety (EHS) professionals. Your Day-to-Day: »Field Activities: Conducting industrial hygiene projects, including traditional employee exposure monitoring for various chemicals, particulates, noise, mold/moisture, indoor environmental quality assessments (IEQ), and asbestos/lead-located paint building assessments. »Office Tasks: Preparing data tables and reports, and maintaining and calibrating sampling equipment. »Health and Safety Assessments: Assisting practiced industrial hygienists with health and safety assessments and sampling. »Data Management: Supporting office activities related to data management and report preparation for industrial hygiene projects. What You Bring: » A Bachelor's degree in Public Health, Industrial Hygiene, Occupational Safety and Health, or other related sciences » 1-4 years of practice with industrial hygiene field sampling » The capability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and availability to accommodate periodic travel with overnight assignments » practice with Industrial Hygiene employee exposure monitoring » Mold and IEQ sampling practice » Asbestos Inspector License, a plus » Lead-located Paint practice or accreditations, a plus We Are S&ME: For over 50 years, our collaborative approach to geotechnical, civil, environmental, and construction materials has offered innovative solutions to deal with our clients' most complex challenges.
