Min Hourly Rate $14.70 (Standard); $13.70 (Non-Urban); $15.95 (Portland Metro) Max Hourly Rate $21.00 (Standard); $20.50 (Non-Urban); $21.50 (Portland Metro) Position Summary This recruitment will be used to fill five (5) part-time (a maximum of 20 hours per week) tutor positions for the Oregon State University Honors College (HC). Subject areas include: Biology, Chemistry, Math, Physics, or Writing. This position is responsible for holding assigned tutoring hours and assisting students with questions related to a variety of subjects within their field of tutoring. Work hours are flexible and will be determined and set jointly by employee and manager. A maximum of 3 hours per week and a minimum of 90 minutes of availcapability Sunday through Friday. This position is designated as a critical or security-sensitive position; therefore, the incumbent must prosperously complete a criminal history check and be determined to be position qualified as per OSU Standard 576-055-0000 et seq. Position tasks » Hold weekly tutoring hours/sessions. » Answer questions and refer struggling students to appropriate resources, as necessary. » Work is performed independently on campus, within the HC community spaces. » Consistent evening hours are needed to complete tasks. » Minimum of 90 minutes of availcapability Sunday through Friday. A reduced course load is approved by the Office of International Services (OIS), and must be provided to the Student Employment Center.
