Position Summary This recruitment will be used to fill two part-time (a maximum of 24 hours per week) Grad School Analyst/Programmer positions for the Graduate School at Oregon State University (OSU).

The Graduate School seeks students to assist with the development of business applications using the Salesforce platform. We are seeking for a student who can make a long-term (1-2 years) commitment at approximately 20 hours per week. Candidates must be interested in developing their professional expertise - we will train as necessary. Student employees are trained on the job and work alongside full-time developers on Salesforce.com projects. They will be asked to use the Salesforce training module series (i.e., Trailhead: https://trailhead.salesforce.com/(Link is external) (Link opens in new window) ) to familiarize themselves with the Salesforce platform.

Student employees are members of the Graduate School Information technology team and therefore are critical to the team's success in providing digital services to graduate candidates, students, along with faculty & staff in approximately 90 OSU graduate programs. These services are designed to create a better student practice, improve data quality, support student success efforts, and enhance administrative process efficiency.

The student chosen for this position will be joining a group of students currently performing this great work. There are many benefits of this position for the selected student including mentoring and networking with current and former members of the Graduate School Information technology team.

   » Work individually and as part of a team to develop projects within the Salesforce platform
   » Complete projects including assigned tasks in a timely manner
   » Participate in standup meetings

   » Must be academically enrolled in a high school, community college, or university and pursuing a program or course of study
   » Must meet Academic Standing Requirements; students on academic suspension are not eligible for employment
   » Must meet the applicable minimal enrollment standard
   » High School student: Regularly enrolled in a high school or participating in a home-schooling program
   » Undergraduate and post-baccalaureate student: 6 credit hours per term
   » Undergraduate international student: 12 credit hours per term*
   » Graduate student officially admitted to Graduate School: 5 credit hours per term
   » Graduate international student officially admitted to Graduate School: 9 credit hours per term*

*International students may be allowed to carry fewer hours than specified above and still be considered ?full-time? by the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS). A reduced course load is approved by the Office of International Services (OIS), and must be provided to the Student Employment Center.
