Position Summary:: The Administrative adjunct II provides secretarial and administrative support for faculty and for Continuing Legal Education events and symposia, faculty committees, and Honor Board investigations, and assists with other projects as assigned.

tasks and Job responsibilities::
   » Type, edit, and proofread correspondence, manuscripts, presentation materials, class materials, exams; execute mail merges, send email messages on behalf of faculty, make travel arrangements, prepare expense forms and requests for payment; schedule rooms for make-up classes.
   » Perform other administrative tasks pertaining to classes or other faculty-related work.
   » Maintain files electronically and in hard copy as necessary.
   » Interact with students and faculty (set up appointments, answer questions).
   » Perform faxing, scanning, and small copy requests: send large copy requests to the University Print Center via online submission system.
   » Coordinate and execute the administrative details involved with symposia, conferences, faculty workshops, and other events, including creating and editing Eventbrite pages, printing registration lists, registering each symposium with the PA Continuing Legal Education Board, inputting CLE attendance and course evaluations, printing/posting CLE certificates, managing payment-at-door on day of event, running the registration table, supervising student volunteers, creating name-tents for speakers, supporting the Director of Events with miscellaneous tasks, responding to CLE and event related questions from faculty, attendees and CLE Board representatives.
   » Use web-located legal research tools (HeinOnLine and/or Lexis Westlaw) on behalf of faculty and in the course of completing assigned projects.
   » Support the work of faculty committees: schedule rooms for meetings, create spreadsheets and other documents, other tasks as requested.
   » Manage confidential and sensitive information in relation to Honor Board violation investigations. Help maintain the tracking log for pending and resolved cases.
   » Monitor inventory of office supplies and reorder when needed.
   » Serve as a back-up when other faculty support adjunct is out of the office or needs assistance.
   » Perform other tasks and assist with special projects as assigned.
Minimum Appropriate qualifications::
   » High School Diploma or equivalent.
   » Minimum 3-4 years practice in administrative support functions
   » Strong secretarial, organizational, communication, and interpersonal expertise.
   » Strong expertise in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Adobe Acrobat, Internet, Lexis/Westlaw; willing to lgain new programs and applications as needed.
   » capability to prioritize tasks, work effectively with interruptions, and work independently as well as in collaboration with colleagues.
   » Able to interact with co-workers, faculty and students with a professional manner and a positive, service-driven attitude.
   » expertise of office procedures and educational institution policies and procedures.
Preferred Appropriate qualifications::
   » Some college education preferred
   » practice in an academic setting preferred
