Posting DetailsPosition InformationPosting Number: 20112980 Position Title: Faculty Success Facilitator FTE: 1.00 Employment type: Staff Department: Prov and VP for Academic Affairs Dept Position Summary Information Job Summary/Basic Function: About this function: The Faculty Success Facilitator is responsible for design, development, and delivery of professional development training modules to support faculty teaching excellence at Lamar University. This position will work collaboratively with the CITL team to assess and curate resources, web content, and internal marketing initiatives to promote faculty support and development. The Facilitator will also provide direct assistance to faculty, assess the effectiveness of faculty teaching, and contribute to the overall strategic vision of the CITL. The range of responsibilities related to designing, developing, delivering and assessing faculty development programs and resources will promote teaching excellence at Lamar University. The Facilitator will work collaboratively with CITL colleagues and faculty to identify needs, create engaging solutions, and drive the overall teaching and learning mission. What You'll Do - Position Job responsibilities: » Develop and implement professional development, including the creation of training modules and workshops on topics such as instructional design, teaching methods, educational technology, and assessment. » Collaborate with faculty and staff to identify professional development needs and design customized training solutions. » Audit internal web content, multimedia resources, and graphic design elements to ensure quality and accuracy. » Collaborate with the director and LXD in executing internal marketing campaigns to promote CITL's services and opportunities to faculty. » Provide individualized support and consultation to faculty members on teaching and learning issues. » Assess the effectiveness of faculty development programs and use data to inform continuous improvement. » By request, assess faculty teaching through evaluation of syllabi, classroom or online teaching, course content or other requested assessment. » Assess Faculty Success programs and events, using data to drive continuous improvement and inform planning and decision-making. » Stay current with emerging trends and best practices in instructional design, faculty development, and higher education. » Act in the Faculty Success adjunct Director's stead for meetings or other tasks as necessary. Job Conditions: Position is subject to annual review by manager. Employee must abide by all Lamar University, State, and Center policies and procedures. Office environment with occasional travel to attend conferences or meetings. Some evening and weekend work may be required.
