Primary Purpose of Department The mission of Housing and Residence Life is to pledge to foster inclusive communities that enhance the academic, social and personal development of residential students. Furthermore, we strive to provide students with a variety of living environments that are clean, safe and affordable.

Primary Purpose of Position The Associate Director for Student Accountcapability and leadership abilities Programs is a member of the department's Residence Life leadership abilities Team who supervises, leads, and develops staff and provides vision/direction for specific content areas in the Residence Life unit.

Summary of Position Responsibilities
   » Provides supervision and development for full-time, master's level adjunct Directors, as well as the professional and student staff assigned to their areas.
   » Responsible for providing the leadership abilities and direction for departmental initiatives related to residential student conduct and case management, desk operations and recognition, along with student leadership abilities advising and development.
   » Member of the department's Residence Life leadership abilities Team.
   » Serves as a departmental representative on assigned University and Division of Student Affairs committees.
   » Responsible for working with and assisting the Division of Student Affairs and Housing and Residence Life with gathering research, creating reports and all assessment efforts related to Residence Life.
   » Reports to the Director of Residence Life.
Minimum Education/practice
   » Master's degree (ideally in higher education, counseling and/or student personnel, or a related field).
   » Minimum of 5 years of progressive professional practice in campus housing, student affairs or a related field.
   » practice supervising graduate and professional staff.
   » practice serving in on-call response and/or in crisis management.
Preferred Education, expertise, expertise and practice
   » practice advising student groups.
   » practice using Maxient conduct software system.
   » practice with case management with college students.
   » 5 years or more practice supervising professional staff and graduate.
